The first C02 plant in a store in Finland
Already in 2007, Huurre developed Finland's first-ever freezer plant that runs on carbon dioxide. Huurre brought to life a brand new, more effective and energy-efficient operating model based on CO2 for K-Supermarket Seilori in Espoo.

Technically unique CO2 refrigeration plant
Huurre has agreed on the delivery of CO2 operated retail store refrigeration facilities to S-Market Söderkulla during 2009. The technical solution is unique in Finland: the facility includes a direct cooling circuit and an indirect heating circuit, where pressurised liquid CO2 is circulated by pumps. The project is part of a refrigeration system research project investigating the use and applicability of carbon dioxide in retail refrigeration.
