Huurre has been present in Russia already since the 1980's. Huurre Group’s existing Russian subsidiary OOO Huurre is one of the major cold storage contractors in the area. The new company, OOO Huurre Services, aims to achieve market leadership in the grocery retail refrigeration services market in Russia within a near future.
Russia remains the European leader in terms of retail space destined for construction by the end of 2010, followed by Italy and Turkey. In the first half of 2010 approximately 580 000m2 of new shopping center space were added in Russia, which translates into year-on-year increase of 6,6%.
Specializing in refrigeration service and maintenance work through annual service agreements and remote monitoring, OOO Huurre Services seeks to serve the Russian food retailers in a cost effective and value added manner. The new company is already the market leader in Moscow’s retail refrigeration service market, and will during the year 2011 extend its service portfolio through active sales of design and contracting services. The managing director for the new company is Mr. Roman Loskutov, who has been running the service division within OOO Huurre since 2007.
